Support Group for 2G’s and 3G’s: Forward with Our Legacy or Shoah Aliyah

The Phoenix Holocaust Association and Temple Chai’s Shalom Center are now sponsoring a support group for children (2G) and grandchildren (3G) of Holocaust survivors where we share experiences and concerns and provide each other with encouragement, comfort and supportive advice.

The facilitators for the new group are Miriam Sterk and Dr. Sam Sterk.

Miriam Sterk, LCSW C-ASWCM is an Arizona and New York state licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager. Miriam has over four decades of professional experience in the health care field as a therapist, administrator, educator of behavioral health and counseling including the private, public and managed care sectors.

Sam Sterk, PhD, CC-AASP is registered as a Sport Psychology Consultant to athletes and has had affiliation with the US Olympic Training Center. Sam is a certified member of the American Association of Applied Sport Psychology. He is an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnosis. He has over 40 plus years of professional experience in the field of behavioral health. Dr. Sterk is the Sport Psychologist for Scottsdale Martial Arts Center. Sam is also a 2G.

We will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at Temple Chai. Meetings are free, and we only ask that you notify us to participate. This notification is for the first session you wish to attend.

When: Wednesday, May 8, 2019, 7 PM – 8:30 PM

Where: Temple Chai 4645 E Marilyn Road Phoenix AZ 85032, (Tatum and Marilyn) In the small building on the rear of the property.
